S.M.I.L.E. (Services to Maintain Independence and Life Efficacy) INC. is a holistic, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide re-entry services to justice-involved individuals in the BIPOC underserved communities to help lower recidivism rates with a focus on providing whole health services to promote self-efficacy to overcome adversity and live a better quality of life.
Services are available on referral and through the courts. Call the office to find out what applies to you.
Reentry planning, IDs and documentation, housing and employment navigation, and support with probation and parole requirements.
Substance use and mental health treatment, individual and group counseling, day treatment and medication management.
Whole-health programming across the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical spectrums, before and after release.
Anger management, parenting, financial literacy, career development, GED and HSED support, and mentorship.
